How’d Cael handle Andrew Long? I have a ton of respect for Cael, but let’s not forget that when Iowa was nipping at his heels he brought an an extremely troubled kid to help him win a title.

All of the sexual assault stuff is new. With that new information, I’d no longer want him at ISU. But it doesn’t change my opinion that I’d have taken him in a heart beat prior to knowing this.

Let’s also remember Gable Steveson is a huge superstar who got a farewell tour from NCAA wrestling and ESPN last year. Had some pretty serious sexually related legal issues as well.

Cael at PSU and (later) the coach at Grand View (Mitchell) both gave Long a chance to make good. When the problem didn't go away, he was dismissed from their teams so I'm not sure what your point is. That Cael did a bad thing and is a bad coach? Ferrari's issues are similar to Downey's, not Long's.

You may have a point regarding Long, but I was referring to Cael the athlete versus AJ the athlete, not Cael the Coach. I just would not have wanted Ferrari on the team. I have not seen him as much of a team player, IMHO.
