It should be noted that we have our speed backs in with him. Not sure how this looks with a healthy DM.
But ya, he looks awesome.
Didn’t say it would be worse. Just probably some different playcalls and a more heavy dose of DM up the middle. You honestly think having a better overall back next to him would make him look any worse..?
Having the 'speed' backs playing has absolutely nothing to do with how good he has looked. He has a running threat that the D now has to account for, and oh yeah, his passes have been money.
Absolutely nothing to do with who's at RB.

A little bit, although having a mobile/threatening QB helps them look better as well. Our O-line is a bit better today, too.

Only problem with Zeb is he can't make up for our weak o-line. He's a pocket passer and we cannot give him the time needed to play to his style. Purdy just needs to make slightly better decisions and he will be Johnny Manzel without the d-bag syndrome.People will need to remember he’s a true freshman so he will have some big ups and big downs, but today showed he has what it takes to keep the starting role.
He has a strong and very accurate throw and can make plays with his feet, a true dual threat QB the likes we’ve needed with a iffy Oline.
He will need to learn when to make the dangerous throws to keep from throwing too many picks but he can win us some games with those same throws.
Zeb isn’t a bad option but Purdy gives a lot more even though raw.
