Is this years' team better than we thought?

I'll say this, there is an element of luck in sports in general. Those who've said we've got an easy conference schedule--agree . Let's seize the opportunity.

It’s easier than we are used to. But it’s fairly comparable to a lot of power 5 schedules over the years. Let’s not act like it’s the easiest schedule known to man.

Now I didn't say show-up and expect to win. Let's not be foolish.... Take advantage is all I'll say.

I thought this team had a lot of potential coming in with all the guys returning. They appear to have a lot of grit too, as witnessed by the Iowa comeback. I also like that we're being aggressive on offense. I also like that problems seen in one game seem to have gotten corrected for the next. With all that said, need to keep it rolling, because momentum is a ***** in college sports if you let it go sideways, but if you keep it rolling, this team could end being really, really special.

Did people think we'd be ranked 18th in the country at this point??? Before the season started seriously... A small percentage of people.

Most who didn't expect it would say that because of our awful history against Iowa.

If you grant a win there, i think most people would have said that yes, we would be ranked.

So really all that question asks is "did you think we'd beat iowa?"

I seriously have a positive vibe going forward with this team.

Dude, the end result was they lost by ten points... Let's not look at it under a fine microscope. We literally smoked them!

When you're painting the picture of "we destroyed a team that only lost to michigan by 10 points", that context matters. Michigan pretty much destroyed them too. The only difference is some garbage time points.

It's not better than I thought. I was thinking 10 or 11 wins if things go right. So far they're looking good. We all know that Campbell's teams get better. Just enjoy the ride folks.

Huh? What language are you speaking? I didn't comprehend. To be honest, I think Iowa is actually going to have a decent year going forwatd...

Well we turned it over against Iowa and had god awful field position several times and still won the game.

Turnovers are part of the deal. Maybe Arkansas State did some things that made Michigan turn it over.

I’m sure we aren’t the only fans that do this. But we must be the best at it. If our team does something it’s luck or the team we are playing sucks. But if another team does it it’s because they are good.

ISU turned it over once vs. Iowa, Michigan turned it over three times vs. Arkansas State.

They're a part of the game, but turning it over a bunch makes a big difference. Michigan passed the ball 18 times with 3 picks. That's substantial.

If they keep running it's probably a 40-ish to 3 game heading in to the 4th.

I was thinking 7-8 wins at best before the season kicked off. Obviously that's been upticked with this start...

They also had garbage time against Iowa State.

Ok. Still a formidable team, correct? I mean, last time I checked they're ranked 12th in the country...

They're decent.

If ISU were up 21-3 over a Sun Belt team at halftime and only won 28-18 including giving up 15 in the 4th, the narrative would be that ISU should have won by a lot more, correct?

And I think Michigan might have subbed a lot at some point. 6 RBs had carries, for example.

It was fun and any win is good but what makes you think the Iowa game was massive? Do you think Iowa is really good?

Arguing whether ASU played Michigan tough or not wouldn’t be so stupid if we only beat ASU by 10 and someone was trying to compare it but ISU beat ASU by more than people are saying Michigan could have beaten them by without their turnovers. The lengths some of the CFers will go to be negative about ISU is ridiculous.

They didn't destroy them by any stretch of the means. Delusional...

They were up 28-3. Yes, they destroyed them.

Absolutely moronic to say otherwise just because of a couple garbage time TDs.

Have you watched a game before in your life or are you just today discovering sports?

Have you read up on that game at all?

Read up on what? We rolled Arkansas State by damn near 40+, Michigan lost to them by 10. What tutoring do I need???
