I think you'll start seeing this. All of a sudden even Indiana and Purdue seem like great jobs considering the $$$.Unfortunately this could be right.

NopeDid a lot of people have us going 1-8 or 2-7 in conference?
What, are we talking about the elephant in the room Knapp? Is that off limits? For the of baby Jesus....stop this ****.
Curious, why?For the of baby Jesus....stop this ****.
What schemes have been overhauled by Campbell? The change in defense in year 2 was Heacock.Campbell has fired coaches and overhauled schemes in the past. I think we will be fine, despite this year's massive frustrations. If Manning and Myers are retained and our first play from scrimmage every game next year is a -2 yard rush from shotgun between the center and guard, then come talk to me
Good grief. He has brought us fun and excitement that as Cyclone fans we haven't experienced much of for the past 6 years and now we have a down year and you're ready to step off the ledge.
Let Myers walk, move Manning to OL coach only and beg Alex Golesh back to come back.Talk of wanting to move on from CMC is laughable, but if he doesn't at least replace Myers it would be extremely disappointing.
This hits the nail on the head of my sentiment I was trying to get at with this thread.I was having this conversation with a couple friends over the weekend. CMC has to find a way to transition the overall offensive gameplan to someone other than Manning - perhaps even some new coaching blood in general. CMC has had essentially the same staff for most of his tenure, and on the offensive side it is just not working at this point. This could be an easy fix, but it likely requires CMC to go outside his long time coaching tree.
I like how there’s tons of comments like this. Like the subject is absolutely off limits just because we have such a loser mindset from our history. For the of baby Jesus....stop this ****.
You haven’t been around very long thenThis team executes worse than almost any team I’ve ever seen. This isn’t a talent issue.
Perhaps the run from shotgun on short yardage plays analyst to be hired this summer to shake up the staff will help with this perception. It's not that we are losing it's how we are losing. Its good that we are not hopelessly outclassed from a talent standpoint but its not good at all that we do the same dumb **** game after game. In years past, we have gotten better as the season progressed. The last couple of years that has changed.
I am thinking even a bottom tier SEC or Big 10 program might be looking for a little more separation between wins and losses in this era of NIL too. I could be wrong though.I'm thinking more and more he couldn't care less if he's in Ames past this year anyway. Id rather have a bottom tier SEC or Big 10 job than coach in the Big 12 in NIL era.
