I don't think you could have us much higher right now, given our W-L and RPI. But I think everyone thinks we are a better team that we have shown lately. That's why I think we would get a big bump if we show it this week.

Ratings have just as much to do with how teams ahead of you perform, than what you actually do.
This week for example with all of those ranked teams losing, it was a great time for a team to win both games (Like Iowa) and then blasting up the rankings. If ISU won both games they would be top 10 in this poll.

Think we should be a place or two higher. If we beat OU/TCU this week we should be 12th or so going into the KU game.

Stupid? No, not hardly. Only saying that it might be harder for ISU to get votes from coaches and press people because of our past performance this year. That's probably the reason we dropped so quickly, too.

So, it might take 2-3 weeks the way this season has been going.

I think all of that is possible and part of the equation. Really 25 or more teams that I wouldn't be surprised to make the Final 4 this year. Way more parity than I've seen previously. Makes for interesting games. With 2 good weeks. Iowa State could be looking at conversation for a 2 or 3 seed once again.

If Iowa State beats #1 OU, TCU, #1 KU and #10 A&M, they would easily move into the top 10. Two weeks is an eternity in college basketball during conference season.

The AP has Duke at #20, which seems about right, but the Coaches have them at #12. WTF? That is a huge difference in ranking.
