And with non-conference games vs Marquette and Auburn (and possibly North Carolina and UConn/Michigan State, depending on how the Maui Invitational plays out)

On the plus side, I can't imagine anyone will criticize ISU's schedule, both conference and OOC games, come seeding time in March

I can absolutely imagine that it will happen for every cupcake game.

Many of you are more versed in the ticket allotment when the students are away…im guessing all those are general admission?

Is it possible JP requests some big time matchups to drive up the price on those close seats rather than having it bundled into a student package? It feels Baylor hasn’t played in front our students in years. Kansas has fallen during that window multiple times as well. IIRCC Kansas state has as well.
I THINK they sell those student section areas for those games to the general population as a reserved ticket. Could be wrong on that though.

March 1 at Hilton vs Arizona has got to be a CBS broadcast, doesn't it? Same for Feb. 22 at Houston, but I really only care about getting them back in Ames again.

Lest we forget that Iowa State beat #2 Houston at home in a snowstorm without students there. Coming to Hilton is still a bear for any team.
For a crowd of about 5000 Hilton was actually pretty loud that night. Us hardcores made up for all those empty seats at least for one night.

Just for reference, here are the men's and women's double headers...

Monday, 11/4, women vs Chicago State (this is the one that is during the day when the local elementary school kids attend) and Men vs Mississippi Valley State

Sunday, 12/8, women vs Central Michigan and men vs Jackson State

Sunday, 12/15, women vs Eastern Illinois and men vs Omaha

Saturday, 2/8/25, women vs Colorado and men vs TCU
Well wish there was another B12 doubleheader. But 4 is pretty standard if I remember right

Yep even with the students gone our crowd is pretty fiesty. Lots of families move into the student sections for those break games.

It's going to take a while to get used to seeing Arizona schools on the conference schedule but probably not as weird as teams like Duke and North Carolina having Cal, SMU and Stanford on their conference schedule or Big Ten teams playing late night games on the west coast in conference. These offseason conference alignments are weird asf.

Testifying
If you are an ISU fan and live/snowbird in Arizona, you get the men and women playing 4 times there in January. That's awesome.
Doing the men's ASU and Zona games. Flights are cheap out of DSM.

Looks like we get to make almost every single tough road trip, very possible we're a better team this year with a worse record than last year.

We do make a lot of tough road trips. I think you could make an argument we play at 4 of the toughest 6 road environments in the conference. The only ones we avoid are Baylor, BYU, and Cincy.
