How about that depth for Iowa?
Uthoff 5-10 fg, 4 pf (looked okay)
McCabe 0-7 fg, 4 pf
Olaseni 1-1 fg, 2 pf
Jok 0-2 fg
Clemmons 1-2 fg
Stokes 0-0 fg

Give me a solid 7-8 like ISU any day.

No need to be a d-bag about it. They have a very good team and played their ***** off.

It's OK for us to be gracious in the win and not feel the need to rip on them.

I'm not rubbing it in - I was very impressed by Iowa tonight. I just think their stated "depth" was inaccurate at best, and more likely a farce.

I'm going to rub it in relentlessly, because I can. **** the Hawks. Deepest team in the country. Good for them. Did you see the box score?

GO STATE.

Their depth didn't work for them in this game. That said, I suppose I don't hate the hoks as virulently as some. One of my three favorite brothers went to school there. I also have a family of cousins that lived in Iowa City. Spent plenty of time there as a youth. That said, they played a great game. We just played a better game in the clutch. I think they will be a team to contend with all year. They have lots of weapons for scoring the basketball. ISU needs to concentrate on continued improvement. I want this team to go as far as they possibly can. Go Cyclones.

Personally... I'm ok with it. Do you really think that Hok fans would be as gracious if they won? of course not... Rub it in and let them hear about it. Does Iowa have a solid team? yes.... but this game is for bragging rights and last time I checked... we just gained those. Let them hear about it... and don't stop, don't show mercy.

Actually, we can and should rub it in for an entire year. CYCLONE RULE, HOKS SUCK. Gingers lose. Fran is a ****. Suck it Squawks. Cry about the refs, but you still are losers. HAHA.

Really really surprised we won with how little we got from Thomas.

I politely disagree. For most teams, yes.

But not Iowa in any sport and not KU in basketball. We will rip on them. Always.

None of Jok, Olaseni, or Clemmons did much to affect the game positively for the Hawks. Woodbury got abused every time he stepped out to defend. The rest of their bench was basically a non factor--ISU's bench outscored Iowa's. When you boil it right down, the Hawks talk about their depth a lot, but it sure didn't help them win tonight.

You gotta be able to sort the BS from good analysis.
