You've all seen this image, I bet. Not my design, but bringing it back up. This is the only image that should be put in front of Pollard and Campbell.

It has all the fundamentals to riff on with professional apparel designers:
-True red-hue gold (looks like they are already hinting at that with the all-whites this year)
-Streamlined logo (I-State cardinal stencil)
-Subtle nods to the past, modernized for the future (twister tornado, Trice stripes)
-Stripes minimal and under control (no throwing blocky color stripes on stripes on stripes like Ol'Miss!)
-No USC copy

You can throw in neutrals in blocks (a 1-1 swap of Cardinal or gold with a white, gray, maybe charcoal). These are your base uniforms. Then...let Nike go all Pro-Combat design on any alts after you have the base expectation decided and standard colors set.

I agree this uniform would be ideal, I just don't think Pollard will change our colors unfortunately.

However, there is definitely some "gold" in our new white helmets and I LOVE it. Just not sold that Pollard will change it permanently as one of our colors.

Pollard's unwhillingness to change is alarming. What exactly are we afraid of losing? and don't start preaching to me how recognizable we are now with this new logo, people still consider us a joke and that's if we are even lucky enough to be heard of.

I think JP may be changing his stance a little based on CMC's statements about more uniform options - or did I miss JP stating we are going through with new uniforms?

Hey guys,

I basically did the same thing. I took everything posters on here asked for, and made it a uniform. We all want white, gray, cardinal, and gold uniforms. So, I took a gray uniform. Made it white, blended the white with cardinal and gold, and got this.

As you can tell, the AHF logo is on the right arm sleeve, because we do things right around here, not left.

I'm still working on pants, but the helmet is in this picture as well. Unfortunately, the helmet is so white, that you can only see it if you know exactly where it is.

Let me know what you think. I really like the OP's uniform concept but I think mine is something to at least consider before JP makes his decision.

Don't sweat it, t-noah. Some folks are just bustin' your balls a bit (and it's kinda funny). You're not the only one obsessing over uniforms, otherwise there'd be no action in these threads. I enjoy your contributions, as I'm sure plenty others do. Love all the combos. Thank you!
Thank you for your comments and support. I'm not going to worry too much about cyrocksmyapants, and some others, it's all in fun anyway. No biggie.

BTW, I have not e-mailed Mr. Pollard yet one these mocks. I'm getting some "input" first from you guys. I appreciate the 'useful' comments from everyone, even " *ss-pants ".

Can you at least give me a hint where the helmet is? I've been looking at this for hours and I still can't find it.

Pollard saying he won't change the I-State logo doesn't mean the logo is married to the helmet. As others have said in past threads, "Cyclones" is one of the most original and underutilized nicknames in sports. To have such a dynamic name like Cyclones and not incorporate it into merchandising and uniforms is a complete marketing fail.

The helmets of the mid-80s were damn near perfect in my opinion. I don't care if the team was awful, who cares? Trying to "modernize" an old logo is a terrible idea.

Simple, simple, simple, simple. simple. Just use KISS baby.

Eliminated that concept here, replaced w/ lateral sh stripe and number,

Booooo!
:);)

"S" within the "striped-I" concept may not transfer as well as I expected. I suppose a small, arced "State" to match the primary logo would make more sense. But perhaps it isn't worth the attention to a sleeve concept, if the "S" doesn't work.

What do you guys think about the 3/4 length chevron pant stripe? I like it. It's a big part of this design, also allows a small 1* or 2* logo to be placed above it, if desired. Do you prefer a full length stripe instead?

Lateral shoulder in red, I like this a lot. I also went back to the white numbers w/ yellow trim, which I also like better, makes the whole uniform pop a little more.

Although flexibility of having a logo above it, I prefer the traditional pant stripe because it has a more natural "continuation" of the "I" shoulder stripe.

I like both, but realize not everyone would like the 3/4 length chevron pant stripe. The full length stripe is also more traditional and very clean, nothing wrong with that.
