By the de facto leader of your team. Addition by subtraction. Really makes me question what Campbell saw in him. That’s a special kind of stupid right there.

Was that wrong?
In all seriousness, Dekkers should had known better. And this should be a learning experience for all college athletes. You just can’t gamble on your sport, let alone involving your own team. Doesn’t matter if you are riding the bench or playing, you just can’t bet involving your own team.
Luckily the QB room has good depth. Next man up. Good luck, Dekkers.
Wasn't he the back up? He most certainly could have played. What an idiot. He was on the bench, so he couldn’t really impact the game.
He could have played though, right? Wasn't he the backup to Purdy? Did he know Purdy wasn't going to are a hit and get knocked out?I get that, it's definitely illegal and rightly so. I'm just saying that there is still no reason to question the integrity of any FB game results, because he didn't play. The DCI concluded that nobody placed bets on games they played in. So that's good, at least.

No you're right, that's why it's illegal. I'm just saying there's no reason to be worried about point shaving or anything like that. They concluded nobody from Iowa or ISU bet on games they appeared in.He could have played though, right? Wasn't he the backup to Purdy? We don’t have to look too far back in Iowa State history to find an unknown QB at the beginning of a season who quickly blossomed into a star.I think you mean.... "at least the QB room has some warm bodies", right? We have no idea if there's any depth there whatsoever. None of them really have any experience at all.... none.
This year will be a miracle if we win more than 4 games... unless somehow the rest of the team is just pissed off and comes together like never before and wants to prove something. They will be fun to cheer for, but I have almost no expectations.
I get what you're saying, but before the OSU game, how did Hunter know he wouldn't get in the game? That's a huge , huge risk when the backup QB could go in at any time.No you're right, that's why it's illegal. I'm just saying there's no reason to be worried about point shaving or anything like that. They concluded nobody from Iowa or ISU bet on games they appeared in.
If he was the backup then he was just one play away from playing and it wouldn't have been his choice.I get that, it's definitely illegal and rightly so. I understand..I'm not arguing it wasn't a terrible choice and very very illegal. I'm just saying we don't have to worry about any point shaving or throwing games allegations. Not defending it at all. Just pointing out we don't have to be worried about that stuff. If he was the backup then he was just one play away from playing and it wouldn't have been his choice.

Dekkers was just average last year. It may be likely he would had been replaced at some point this season anyway. Let’s see what these young QB’s have to offer. And I’m sure the program has been preparing for Dekkers not to be the QB this season.
New OC, new QB. Let’s go! Fresh start!
Hasn't happened to me yet.Who knew putting gambling in an app on your phone would lead to this?
Umm it's worth a go if he wants to pursue that, duh.I hope you're joking, right? No chance at the NFL for Dekkers.... ever.
