I would assume that it is almost recommended that you know how to spell 'entrance' first.

If you are in the top half of your class and at least attempt the ACTs, you can pretty much get into any of those.
Please tell me the misspelled "entrance" was a joke.. :biglaugh:

I think base undergrad admissions are identical between all three schools.

Not so...My son was not accepted at UNI out of High School. He was accepted at Iowa State and went on the get a Construction Engineering Degree.

False. All 3 state schools have the same admission requirements. The applicants RAI (Regent Admission Index) must be at least a 245 to get in. Before they came up with the RAI, it was 18 on your ACT's and at least top half of your class.

17 was all that was needed in 1998 when I graduated for Iowa athletes, I am sure that is/was the same for all the schools. 18 and top half of the class for non-athletes.

Do they still offer a summer semester of academic probation if you are just below the desired numbers?

Yes I did it and passed in 2008, not fun but it worked out in the end.

The new admission standards went into effect in 2009 I believe.
