Can't have that many turnovers and poorly defend permeter against a very good team at one of the toughest places in the nation to play at.

I also saw 2 evenly matched teams split games - nothing to hang heads about here. Frustrated with some moments in the game, but loved the effort thru 40 minutes.

Yes, effort was good. Let the deficit get a little too steep in the first half, that was going to be a challenge to push back into it and stay there. Didn't take enough advantage early when defense was playing well and Kansas was cold. At KU, there are always runs. It just depends when, how often and how much.

Bummed (and I hate losing to Kansas), but a lot of season to go and it's better than being swept. That was getting really old.

Hopefully we get them in KC again. We were much sloppier than normal and it's a tough place to win.
KU will get picked off a few more times this year. I think we can learn a lot from this game.
Our "A" games is better than KU's.

Pretty happy we didn't roll over and die when KU started to push the lead to 20. We always had something left to bring it back around 9 or 10. Nothing to be too disappointed angry about. Expecting a win @ Kansas isn't realistic in most cases.

Well, now we probably need to go 9-0 to win the league. There isn't any game left we can't win, but will we? Thinking a 6-3 or 5-4 finish is more likely.

Hoiball is awesome (let's never do anything else), but also very unpredictable. Fred doesn't micromanage, which is great but also lets close games get away from us at times because he isn't as willing to step in early enough. Fred is all about playing the "long game", sometimes at the expense of the short. Gotta love his priorities - winning a national title - but it can get frustrating that the guys don't play at their highest level for extended periods, sometimes even a full game. We don't have a killer instinct. Wish we could find one.

God, I hate Kansas.

We had a chance to take the lead to 15 or so in the first half but couldn't hit our shots while KU was shooting cold. That would have had it tied at half time and within 5 at times late in the second.

That being said, the finals game versus KU in Kansas City is going to be one for the ages.

We played hard, but got outplayed by a very good team in their gym tonight.

the loss doesn't bother me, Kansas punching their ticket to #11 does.

7-2. No freaking way we go 5-4.

No, it wss not the missed shots. The turnovers during that stretch is what killed ISU. Unforced, rushed turnovers.

Stating the obvious here but we really struggle on the road. We battle like hell and the effort is there, but in order to be a great team we have to win away from Hilton. No getting around that. I have no idea how to fix it, just have to have faith that Fred does.

I thought the effort was pretty good until fatigue set in. Too little, too late on the comeback.

Making ISU play half court was a very good move by Kansas. ISU is such a thin team, had a lot of trouble finishing at the rim with contact.

Sometimes when opponents take away our transition we tend to lose our cool in the halfcourt and try to speed things up, which leads to bad shots, out of control drives to the hoop, etc...(see tonight, Maryland, South Carolina).

Other than that I liked the way we fought tonight. We had some brainfarts on the court, but that will happen in hostile environments. We took Kansas' best shot tonight and battled them for 40 minutes. We just rushed things a bit on offense, and had a few lapses on D in the second half. Easiest loss of the year to swallow and put behind us IMO.

The game was lost at that point. Hit three or four of the shots and the pressure would have been on and the crowd would have been more quiet,.
