A friend and I are going to be in Downtown Pittsburgh for a work trip this weekend. Are there any CFers from the Pittsburgh area who know of a place to watch the game with other Cyclones? I checked the game watch site, and it doesn't look like there's an official Alumni Association place in Pittsburgh.

Even if there isn't a group watching, does anyone know the Pittsburgh area and know of a good place to watch the game?

Unfortunately there aren't any ISU Alumni Asso. Sponsored Game Watches in Pittsburgh.

You could try to find a UCONN gamewatch and go crash it!!

There's a long road in Pittsburgh with something like over 60 bars in one mile of road. That area is loaded with sports bars. I'm sure you'll be able to find one with ESPN2. I don't remember what that street was called, but if you ask any cabby or hotel clerk, they should know. I checked the ISUAA gamewatch guide - nothing for Pittsburgh.

I've been out on Carson Street which I believe is what colby is talking about. Lots of bars. I was with the girl so we weren't looking for sports bars but I'm sure there are plenty there. I would check that out.

I've looked around before and haven't been able to find any Cyclone game watches here. And unfortunately I don't go downtown that often and when I do go to Carson Street it's never to watch a game, so I'm not sure of all the good places to go in that area. I've heard good things about Tailgaters downtown. Otherwise Carson Street is your best bet. I know there are a few sports bars on it so you should be able to find it somewhere. Parking kind of sucks around there but you can usually find something on one of the side streets off of Carson. That's all I've got off the top of my head. If I think of anything else I'll let you know.

Oh and one other recommendation, if you're renting a car I highly recommend getting one with GPS. Driving around Pittsburgh when you're unfamiliar with it can be an adventure (and not a fun one).
