Our offense is not good. We will get sacked a lot.

Will be a low scoring game, and Cole will win the game for us again.

Cyclones 17
Chicken Hoks 16

I agree. Our offense still has some work to do and Iowa's defense will be better than UNI was so we're likely not going to put up a lot of points. Our defense is going to have to win us the game...and I think they are capable

From an offense standpoint, Iowa State needs to improve its run game. Hopefully, they can learn something from game one.

was able to watch the entirety of both games on tv. Illinois state is far better than northern Iowa this year yet Iowa did not have the lull that Iowa state did. they dominated start to finish and coasted through the 2nd half. however I am not sure that means anything. I think isu will be able to do some things with the deep ball and I expect an entertaining game like 2011. isu 38 Iowa 37.

I don't think the playbook was opened up very much, and Sam was able to shake off some rust the first half. Having some real experience and film to look at will help our new RB's.

I would love if the game played out just like it did in 2011. The atmosphere from start to finish in that game was the best I think I have ever witnessed in Jack Trice.

I wish the game was tomorrow. It hasn't even been 24 hrs since the last game and I'm already jacked.

I'll take the Clones 27-24. We still won't rush for 100 yards as a team, but the passing game will come alive via the screen game with the RBs/WRs.

Gonna be fun.

Those are some very scary numbers in that chart, as far as ISU is concerned. No different than last year at all. No running game whatsoever to speak of. And almost as many punt return yds as passing yds.... that is an anomaly that we can't count on every week. UNI's punter was terrible.

I'm convinced that UNI's defense will be the easiest we will face all year, and we struggled mightily to get anything going offensively. And UNI doesn't have Drew Ott either.

Easiest all year? Come on Texas Tech and KU would take UNI's defense tomorrow.

Agree. UNI could have the least talented defense we will face. Add in 3-13 on third down and it was a concerning performance.

Kansas put up over 500 yards? I know they lost to an fcs, but I'm jealous of those numbers

Iowa is probably the better team. But they find a way to choke against us. 30-17 ISU.

The questions?
Can we contain Canzeri?
can Sam hit a receiver more then 15 yards down the field?
can we contain Iowas running game?
can our line protect Sam?
will Sam be more decisive from the first snap?

I think UNI looked terrible yesterday, with the exception of their corners, Miller, and Farley. Their offense with Bailey was one dimesional. They should use Bailey as a run quarterback and Dunne or Kollmorgen as the primary quarterback. I thought they would have switched much earlier.

We should beat Iowa, but it will be a much tougher matchup. It looks like a very even matchup, but the rushing game needs to improve with all else equal in order to win.

The only thing really separating what Iowa did yesterday and what the Cyclones did was establish a run game. Leshun Daniels really got it going for them

We missed out on red zone opportunities. I think if we had scored over 40 then I would have not pointed out the rushing statistic. So maybe it is just a matter of better red zone efficiency.
