I smell overtime, 35-31 ISU wins it.
expecting Kent State to return the PAT for 2 points?

ISU bounces back big and scores 5 to 7 times. Kent State scores 2-3.

ISU scores 27-41, Kent gets 6-21.

Splitting the difference, I'll say 34-15...

35-31 Double OT

I bet you all my credits that isn't going to be what happens:wink:

35-31 is a next to impossible score in OT. The only way that can happen is if ISU gets the ball first, scores a TD, and then Kent State settles for a field goal (which no one would do down 7 in OT). If Kent State kicks the field goal and then ISU scores a touchdown, there is no PAT because the game is over once ISU outscores Kent State. Take a look at the UNLV game last year, we kicked a field goal and they scored a touchdown, they won by 3 not 4.

Also, this is directed to all you that have Kent State scoring big on us. I know our defense isn't the greatest, but I would like to know how Kent St is going to score 31 on us? They haven't scored that in their first two games combined and now they have their star RB out and their starting QB.

Jarvis had 199 of Kent state's 410 yards against us last year, and he had 12 of their 28 points. Edelman graduated (he also had 236 yards of total offense against us last year and 3 TD passes), so the guy that was going to start against us was Edelman's backup last year. Now Morgan is also out, so the guy that will be starting against us, would have been their 3rd option last year, he has only played a few minutes in 1 game and is a true freshman.

Our defense has looked much better so far this season. Even if ISU plays like we did against Iowa, I don't know how they are going to score 20 points (will still be enough for KS to win if we play that bad). If our offense plays an average game, Kent state will struggle to score 10 points. I also predict that KS will turn the ball over at least 3 times. They have been turnover prone so far this year and with backup QB and RB, that is only going to make matters worse- err better.

I'm done predicting. When we win a game on the road and win against a quality opponent I'll be predicting again.

Right now, I'm going with "if we play to our potential, we will win this game". Outside of that, I got nothing and we don't exactly have the credibility on the field to back it up otherwise.

That being said, I "think" we can win this game 38-10. If we win by a small margin that'll be okay and I'll be happy for our coaches and players and as a fan. If we don't win, I won't be surprised.

Like some others here, I think about 27 - 17 ISU sounds right. I'm guessing that we get to into the red zone about 4 - 5 times, but mistakes or penalties force us to attempt a couple of field goals.

Our defense usually gives up a couple of big plays, so Kent State will likely get a score or two this way.

Today, the monkey should come off the back and ISU moves on to bigger and better things.

I'm sobered by some of our own Cyclone publications calling for a very close Cyclone win (or worse). We really should win this game by at least two scores imo. If we don't...look out the rest of the year.

Not a bad little endzone they got. Said the entire stadium could hold 30k. I am guessing 20-25k for the attendance? Go Get em Clones!

I'm willing to bet 18K tops...
