If this is their biggest home game in a while thats sad because I got tickets and parking super easy and cheap thru the university.I thought Ohio’s QB was out, but he was back last week and UO beat Tom Herman’s new team. My confidence is less now, teams getting key personal back, in what is probably Ohios biggest home game in awhile, against a young offense, young OC. D and special teams need to be legit. Gotta have this one, a loss would be really, really bad.
Defense will look good and I think our offense will look fine. Problem is that Ohio's defense is just bad. What I want to see is for us to get our young QB some confidence. For crying out loud, look at Brock's first game at ISU against OSU... Do you know what we didn't do? Limit him. We let him make plays and were willing to roll with the mistakes because that's how it should be. Having Rocco stand in the pocket is dumb and is what honestly limited Purdy's ability from year to year. Look at him now, running around, having fun and his coaches are trusting him not to take a dumb hit and get injured.
???I wouldn’t call it backyard lol, more like the holler. It’s a little jaunt to Athens. I’m not going down there. I have been to the campus though to help love a neighbor down there for school and it is a really pretty place. I’m pretty much a stay-at-home fan these days unless I have a perfect/super convenient setup.
What is the "badness" of Ohio's defense based on? So far this season, they allowed:
I've only looked at scores so there might be more to the story, but that's not terrible. Admittedly, not great competition it seems.
- 20 to San Diego State
- 10 to Long Island (FCS, I think)
- 10 to FAU

31-10 ISU
Let’s hope it’s full of cardinal and gold if that’s the caseIf this is their biggest home game in a while thats sad because I got tickets and parking super easy and cheap thru the university.
If this isn’t a semi comfortable W the conference schedule is going to suck. Offense needs to get in a groove fast. How confident are you the Iowa State will win this game?
I’m at 100%. I think the final score looks a lot like the UNI game.

What??Are we counting that as a struggle, or is that just the one dude?
Also Gerry Vaughn. Must be hurt? What’s the word on Eli Sanders
Ohio is favored to play in MAC title game. Also, last time there…Can anyone explain this week’s point spread?
Not sure we can classify Ohio's defense as "just bad". They've allowed 13 points a game and 251.7 total yards per game. Yeah I meant my statement more as if we do well on offense, it may be just because Ohio’s defense isn’t good. I looked at their numbers too and right now have zero clue what to expect. SDSU’s offense isn’t very good, you can’t take away anything from the Long Island game and who knows on FAU.Not sure we can classify Ohio's defense as "just bad". I looked briefly at the SDST and FAU games.Yeah I meant my statement more as if we do well on offense, it may be just because Ohio’s defense isn’t good. My point was that I didn’t word well is that I’m expecting an uptick in offense IF Ohio’s defense is bad. If theyre not bad, yikes. Could be a long game.
It irriates me that we even need to have a poll on if we'll beat a MAC school or not
