ISU's "bizarre" 2017 loss at Kansas State was "defining" in a sense for Matt Campbell's Cyclones

While we are at it........let's not forget the Texas game where their runner was ruled down before he fumbled at the 2 yard line. I think it was the same game one of their receivers took a cheap shot at one of our DB's in their end zone.

Out of all the recent heartache against Iowa, the 2017 game is probably the one I’m still not over. Had them dead to rights, couldn’t close it out. Just think if we had switched the defense then instead of before Texas.

2019 ISU had a chance to really stomp them out several times and kept screwing around.

The 2017 KSU game was sort of similar outside of the bad calls.. KSU had like 100 yards offense midway through the 4th quarter iirc but ISU kept stalling out on drives.

We ISU fans love us some pain.

Was at the KSU game in 17, after the game most KSU fans either shook there heads at us or gave some condolences, they knew they got one...

that would have been huge…can you imagine us beating Bama? I recall the announcers raving “Seneca Wallace….we’re seeing a star in the making”

IIRC Mac said that it was one of the things that he would argue to the end of his life that the kick was good

Yeah, I was there too. I remember on the Lazard pass interference call in the 4th that would have given us the first down and thus seal the game everyone in the stands threw their hands up and yelled when the flag was thrown, knowing that the game was over. Then the refs pick up the flag and the ensuing cheers mixed in with laughing at the call just made.

I was there with an ISU friend who married in to a KSU Family. So I was there with my friend and the KSU family. After the game, we went and got dinner at Pizza Ranch, so we rode in their car since we only took one to the game. I was nice and didn't really talk about the game. But once my friend and I got back to my car to drive back to Kansas City, I close my door and said "I am so ******* pissed right now!"

At least Reggie isn't reffing in the Big 12 anymore. He should have be demoted to the MAC after that game

Was at the 2017 game as well, and that was my experience. The KSU fans I ran into after the game shook their heads and said that they have never seen anything like it. Missed the 2019 game, but will be there again tomorrow. Go Cyclones!

I was sad, not mad about the 2015 game. Not sad because I knew Rhoads would be out, but sad for him and the team to go down in such an unnecessary and avoidable way.

Double foul against Michigan St..that nonsense in Lawrence with Homan shooting free throws..Craft and Ohio State..That crap call against Niang at Hilton against KU...None of them piss me off as much as that flag picking up at Kstate.

Stalling out for drives and settling for fgs has been a bit of a problem the last few years. If we could figure out how to finish off a few more drives a year that would be awesome.

Seems like there's been times when ISU either goes against what's been working (like running the ball vs KSU in 2017) or running something that looks like ISU hasn't even run since fall camp.

I would pay money to see a replay of that game, where I could rewind and rewatch that BS over and over, to make sure I wasn't imagining what occurred. Seriously, where can I find a video of that game, I'll never get over the obvious actions that occurred.....

We’ll, this was a fun thread…
Dammit!!! Now I'm pissed again!
Why am i reading this thread....depressing and making me mad all over again lol
We will all feel better and attain partial solace tomorrow evening after we 'kill the kittens', then deflate the 'purple paradigm'. We are due.
