Jadda has been really impressive, and makes a great compliment to our other guards. The bunch of them really play well together.

I am getting tired of the same old thing week after week, win, win, win. When are we going to not win? Win are we going to when? I really don't want us to lose, but winning constantly causes increased anxiety about the possibilities of losing in the next game. This constant winning isn't making me any younger! :swoon:

You learn so much from a loss. Our teams haven't learned ANYTHING this year!

I agree, you can learn from a win, but it is so difficult. Look at Holy Cross, and all they must have learned. I hear self-mortification has worked wonders for the learning process. I have never tried it.

We have beaten OU each of the last FIVE meetings.... I think this coincides with the graduation of the big OU twin sisters we had issues with

For general information purposes: the Paris twins left Oklahoma in 2009. ISU never beat OU when they played there. The year after they were gone, ISU won the only game between the teams, in Ames. In 2011, Oklahoma won in Norman. In 2012, the first year of playing home-and-home games, we split, losing at Norman, but winning the second game in Ames. Last season, we swept all three games against OU. This translates to a 6-2 record against the Sooners since the Paris twins last played in the Big 12.

Back to back awards! She is going to be a very special player for ISU. I think she is the type that as she gains more and more confidence, we will be amazed at what she can do.

I had a "wow" reaction after watching the Iowa game so I guess the OU performance had to be a "wow, just, wow". To do that on the road against a ranked opponent just impressed the heck out of me.

When she's in a rhythm out there and feeling comfortable, it's a special thing to watch.

I have to say that Kidd has been impressive also, not to the same extent because of the different roles, but man, Kidd has been making huge shots and making it look almost effortless. Just catch and release. Our shooters this year make shooting look easy. They don't always go in, but they look like they could.

Let's hope the success of a player like Jadda (and Seanna too for that matter) shows the impact they can have on the team and give more motivation for local top talent to help a team like ISU get to the next level.

You can start to see where a couple of elite players will take the Cyclones program. Right now, we are now in the top 10 in all RPI indexes. It has usually taken us the Big 12 season to get a top-20 RPI.

If Jadda is indeed over her hesitation to shoot, and the urge to pass first she is going to have a special year. This thread my be on the first page of this forum all season long.
