Much like Duck was due for a breakout game, West is due to take one of those receiver screens or end around sweeps to the house.

He always looks like he's one block short of taking it to the house. KU should present him the chance to do just that.

West is due for a big one, either on special teams or some sort of screen or sweep. He almost had one against Tech.

If anything those little sweep plays with him keep a defense spread out. Those are 5-6 valuable yards he was picking up

I'm ****** that the refs called him down on that one play against Tech, when he clearly wasn't yet. He would have been gone. I'm excited to hear that he'll get more touches.

Jarvis west is MAYBE 5'4. Hes one of the smallest human beings I've ever seen. So sometimes I wonder if it is hard throwing to him cuz he is so small. Running those sweeps makes more sense to me.

West gives ISU a guy like J.J Moses, a wuick little guy that can make people miss at full speed. It would be nice to see him put on 15 or 20 pounds, he goes down pretty easy.

On a side note, I thought Gary had a very nice run after catch last week!

He was down. His entire forearm hit the ground.

Went back just for fun and pulled up his roster entry on Cyclones.com
I forgot what kind of offers that kid had. He had offers from Florida State, Ole Miss, Nebraska, South Florida, Syracuse, West Virginia, among others.
Looking at that makes you feel lucky that we got him.

He's our little Dexter McCluster right now. Hopefully he will turn into a Darren Sproles.

It would also seem like Lampkin and Nealy are cut from the same mold too. It'll give the offense some great flexibility when all three of them have grown into the program.

Any chance he'll see any time at RB? As much as I like White, 30 carries may be too many to keep him healthy. I'd like to see 20-22 carries max, with the balance spread between Woody and another back.

I think Hollis proved worthy of taking some of those carries as well. Besides the "big" run, he had several nice carries and a spectacular spin move against an LB that was reminiscent of the Davis brothers.

I agree. I was still in the mindset that he was injured or out for a little bit. I think we need to spread the carries between 3 backs.

He may be small, but if you are the opposing team, you will feel him.
