In the Rag there is a story about Jesse Smith. It also says that Schwartz transferred to Hampton and is now playing linebacker.

Why didn't he do that here?

He may have been told that he wasn't fast enough to be a LB at this level. I have no idea. If he has the ability I really wish he would have stayed. Great reresentative for ISU and he'll always be a part of a great win.

Isn't Hampton a DI FCS school? I doubt Schwartz would have been adequate as a BCS school LB -- lack of speed.

That may be, but our linebackers last year weren't the fastest. I'm sure that a former running back is/was faster than Jesse Smith. No disrespect intended.

There is a reason he ended up at Hampton. If our coaches thought he could help us ANYWHERE, I'm sure they would have kept him here.

Exactly. The fact that he is not even playing RB at Hampton is actually even more eye-opening. Thank God for SJ.

If he was worthy of a spot anywhere on ISU's team....I am sure they would have made the move and kept him
