The betting apps these kids are using are not issuing large lines of credit like bookies in the old days. You have to put in money in advance,
That's true, but you can max out credit cards and leave yourself without money to pay other expenses.

For the life of me I cannot figure why Farley would "hate" Iowa State.

Iowa State plays them nearly every year and gives them a pretty good chuck of change for doing so. Iowa does not. UNI's budget gets a big lift from this game. Not that I expect him to get down on his knees and kiss Pollard's ring or anything like that, but for him to HATE Iowa State seems bizarre

From my view, Farley has that "big frog in a small pond" attitude about him anyway.

Sorry to have derailed this thread a little.
Farley wants the Hok job when pops retires. I think they buy out Kleiman with the hope he can coach in the new BIG.

Yeah, I'm asking. If it is Iowa law it would be more than 'most apps' but totally precluded.

Not trying to disagree with you, just wondering out loud.
truthfully im not sure. I always thought it was an app thing

He's 60 years old.

I think he kind of looks at this year as his last chance to make a big run and then semi-retire to a fundraising job. The next guy is on staff.

Iowa isn't going to look at him and shouldn't look at him. That's lunacy.

Why not just retire? He's gotta have plenty of money to ride off into the sunset.

He's repeatedly said he's going to give back to UNI and do everything he can to help the athletic department until he's physically unable to do it.

Man loves UNI with every fiber of his being and that's what always makes me laugh so hard at the people that insist he deep down loves the Hawks even though he's been at UNI for 40 years now and grew up a Minnesota fan.

UNI ranked at #23 in FCS preseason poll. Farley won't sniff any job in Iowa City.
