Don't be late. Write a thank you note. Don't complain about current job. Don't be dead serious. Ask questions. Research the company. Make eye contact. Don't bring up salary. Probably some of these have cost me job offers.

The minimum I'd make here is like 4 dollars more than I was making at OC. That's the least of my concerns.

They did provide a video telling about them and the job. It's a company that cleans businesses, houses, apartments.

There are parts to this job that I probably wouldn't find in others jobs but I'd be lying if I didn't say my anxiety is at an all time high too, but that would go for any job.

For 19 years I had a job I knew inside and out. The fear of the unknown and failure is running high.
I have anxiety disorder as well and cleaning schools was the best job I ever had. Objectively you could check off things as they got done and you knew what the plan for the day was as it started.

As a long time hiring manager; here is my advice.
Be prepared.
Don’t be desperate.
Have confidence.

I wish you success and look forward to learning about your journey.
Being desperate in an interview is definitely a killer and the interviewer can usually see it

Feel a bit apprehensive posting this as it feels a bit conceited on my part but I know there are many who care and instead of reaching out to several individually this way more people who care can find out.

After looking on job boards waiting for OC owner to get back to me about post closing cleanup I finally applied to the first job I found that caught my eye. Sent in online application late Monday got text about setting up an interview today. Interview is tomorrow.

Good luck, Rulzzz! You'll do well.

Worked for an OC in Illinois back in the day. They had a great culture that you can highlight in interviews. I still talk about work- life balance not only meaning I get time off, but that I work hard to allow other people to take time off. Still talk about setting my team/others up for success too. Shouldn’t take long for you to find something great.

Posting now as I have heard back from the company. Interview went good at times but definitely had some stumbles. Just got word they are passing on me.

Kind of glad they passed as I'm not sure I could of done the job.

Onto the next one.
I’m sure this was a great learning experience though. You’ll apply what you learned from this process towards the next interview. We all wish you the best, Rulzzz! Just remember that any company will be fortunate to have you. Keep your head up and enjoy the process

Sorry to hear about the pass, but also good you had some positives.

At minimum, doing that interview might help with the next one, get into a groove with the process.

Come on now, we don't drink beer while we're working, we're high class.

We drink whiskey.
