Can't really blame him. He doesn't think he's getting due process. This should remedy that worry. I'm not sure why he's an idiot because of it. Or why anyone thinks this will affect the length of his career. Not like Goddell can fire him.

You mean because he doesn't like the appeals process that his union collectively bargained for not even a year ago?

Yes. From reading the article it doesn't appear that is the only issue. If you felt you were being unjustly punished would you just say, "Oh well, thems tha breaks!"

Apparently Vilma hasn't been shown the evidence the league had that led to his suspension. Sounds to me like a legit complaint.
