Espn basketball insider Jeff Goodman has reported that Kale Abrahamson, 6'8 junior from Drake, previously Northwestern is transferring. He would be eligible to play right away next season as a 5th year senior.

I know our scholarships are full next year but do we still give this guy a look? A local high school kid who has had some success, it looks like he could come in and give us some quality minutes as a 3-point specialist.

We had to stop recruiting because of lefty Moore. Him and jok.

Are we we full if you assume lard is coming?

From everything I've read on here and other boards is Lard will not be here next year. I think the odds are slim of us needing Abrahamson next year with a full roster. We probably could have used him this year though.

Don't follow Drake but based on twitter he wasn't playing much down the stretch.
Looking at stats he was really all over the place. Scored anywhere from 0 to 41

Last 5 games:
18 minutes, 0 pts
33 minutes, 21 pts
22 minutes, 2 pts
DNP
3 minutes, 0 pts

Seemed like it was a big deal when he transferred from Northwestern. Now on to his 3rd school. Something doesn't look right. If its winning or something like that, he had to know the situation he was getting into with Drake.

Not the physical player we need. He's played CCL with our guys, so I'm sure everyone knows his capabilities, or lack of.

Agreed. He's not a P5 quality player.

Yeah, I agree, he did drop 41 on Western Kentucky this year though. I agree though, we dont really have room or even need him next year for that matter. Just reporting on what Goodman was tweeting.

I think he would have gotten some minutes on this years roster if nothing more than to launch a few 3's and give some guys rest. With a full roster next season I dont see us showing any interest.

I've watched him play several games and in person - against UNI. He comes off as a bit pampered... constantly unable to get his own shot, pleading to refs for a call, just was not up to anything i would consider for the types of players we would play against day in and day out....

I would not be in favor of this grade transfer, i think his lack of athleticism would be exposed early and often by Big 12 teams.

No thanks.

He'll probably take a step up, program wise. Grad transfers are like young free agents in baseball, there's always someone willing to over spend.

I could see K St, Nebraska, maybe even Creighton.

I would suggest that he transfer back to Northwestern and get a degree there.

No thanks. Averaged 7pts/3.5reb/0.7ast per game in conference play in MVC. Lost his starting job on a 7-24 Drake team... seems like a very poor man's Jarrod Uthoff
