Fan bases irrationally hate each other especially after loses. The Caesar cut line is classic. The jock jamming line was pretty good too.

I do think the midwest on midwest hate is kind of funny. Basically we all think that more sparsely populated areas of flatland suck, is backwater, or insert putdown here. We generalize about other fanbases (what does KU have to do with Westboro?) then get butthurt when it happens to us. A lot of people on both sides end up looking pretty lame.

Anyways, big win. Go State!

Calling other fan bases out is BS right now, half of Hilton was booing when a Kansas guard went down to what looked like a season ending knee injury,

As a senior who's grown up around ISU sports, I've never been more embarrassed.

A senior as in class at ISU, or like hoveround aged? If the latter, I suppose that explains how you thought it was a season ending knee injury...you couldn't see well enough to notice him instantly grab his thigh, indicating cramps.

Were you drunk? A. We booed because Mason traveled and the refs called a timeout instead. B. The crowd stopped booing when he went down. C. It was completely obvious he had a cramp.

As far as I'm concerned, you're "that guy." I couldn't give less of a **** what team a person cheers for. If I'd gone to ISU, Mizzou or somewhere else, I'd still have been an Iowa fan. The university is taking an awful lot of money from me that I'll be paying back for another 9 years. I don't owe the athletic department a damn thing.

Apparently this guy has never seen someone cramp up before lol cramps are blatantly obvious I don't know how you could mistake one for a knee injury.

So it wasn't just Mason III that forgot to take his Midol last night...

There re not melting down that bad. It was a great in but I so badly want to beat them in Lawrence

I agree, I would love to bring out the brooms and make it a sweep! Especially for them being the only two blemishes on our home loss record at Hilton.

From a bleacher report article...lol

"Wasnt a player that made the difference in this game. It was the refs. KU had 75% more fouls called on them. Two KU players fouled out mean while only one ISU player had three fouls. There were 3 bogas offensive calls that cost KU at least two buckets not to mention the potential of two made free throws. Someone needs to investigate things up there. Normally KU can play through it and win, but most teams cant as is proven by their 49-2 record. This year they are two closely matched and without a doubt it was the difference in the game."

And this is why bleacher report is the least respected website out there for sports.... they are completely clueless.

The announcers ALL night long were commenting how KU wasn't attacking the rim enough and were settling for long two's and contested 3's all night. They never once blamed the refs for the foul disparity, it was all KU's own fault.

As in any game, there were some VERY questionable calls that went both ways, but I wouldn't call it uneven in any way. I can think of 4 HORRIBLE calls against ISU that really could have affected the outcome of the game just off the top of my head.

That technical against Morris was complete BS, and Bilas even said so. And that was a HUGE call at the time. Gave KU life when we just about had them put away.

Or how about when Hogue was just backing up and he bumped into a KU guy, and the KU guy flopped like 4 ft backwards onto his back. Total flop job. Hogue barely touched him.

Yes, there were a few questionable ones called on KU as well, but no different than any normal game.

This bleacher report reeks of someone that just looked at the stat sheet and didn't actually see a single minute of the game. Poor journalism.

Sorry - that was in the comment section of CJ Moore's EXCELLENT article. BR has stepped up their game quite a bit since being acquired by CNN/SI. I never thought I'd defend Bleacher Report, but there you go!

Here's the article.

I usually enjoy Phog, but the comments since our win have changed my mind. What a bunch of clueless ****s over there. Actually, it's pretty clear to see whats happening. They're afraid.
