Roth did Big 12 games on FCS way back when. Mostly with Steve Physioc (PBP) and Samantha Steele.

I expect Kansas to score a TD on their first possession, and I predict the game day thread will go in full meltdown mode at that moment

There is no doubt in my mind KU scores easily on the first drive. There is some history on our end to support that.

would be super cool if maybe came out in a completely different package the first series or something. whats the worse that can happen? They score a TD?

Kansas is a WHOLE lot scarier than TTU could ever hope to be.
Not sure about that. T Tech took what we gave them and played well. Are they coming around now and playing to their potential? We'll see.

I guess the same could be said about KU, but they are only 2-6. Kansas is not scary this year but they certainly can play the spoiler role now.

We should win but need to play better and be unpredictable. I like our chances.

I’m not sure what game you watched but I really did not think Tech played well at all. Its not like we took their best shot like we did from UCF

“Aggressive”?

They’re 14th in the league in total defense. They’re giving up even more rushing yards per game than we are. Their pass defense is 13th.

Apparently you mean…overly aggressive? Passive aggressive?
They just always sound angry.

It's definitely going to be meltdown time if they don't get the W, though.

Does anyone else get vibe of when Dan Hawkins left Boise State to go to Colorado? Then Chris Peterson moved from OC to head coach for Boise and people soon realized who was actually what. Wonder if there is a little (or a lot) of this effect from Andy Kotelnicki going to Penn State and Leipold left to fend for himself. They were together since 2015 at Buffalo. Guess time will tell, but something seems amiss.

KU is one of those teams that has lost a ton of close games. Could be unbeaten with a tiny bit of luck.

I don't think that Leipold made a great OC hire but I do think some of the shine came off of Andy after that Ohio State game. That was a very winnable game if Penn State's offensive does anything. The play calling probably couldn't have been worse.

You may be right. May be wishful thinking on my part. I haven't watched the replay. Don't usually like to when we lose.

You are correct. We are one close game away from unbeaten as well.

I hope it's a good game. Good game meaning we win!

KU reminds me a little bit like our 2022 season
Lost by 1 score or less to Baylor, KU, KSU, Texas, OSU and TT.
we had a 4 win season and invented ways to lose 6 other games

We can use the same KU argument that if we:
1, Baylor: don't throw 2 picks to Baylor,

2. KU: Lost giving up 14 points. if we dont have an INT and Fumble to KU - not to mention missing 3 field goals.....easy win.

3. KSU: found a way to only score 9 points against KSU at home and lose giving up 10...

4. TEX: Give up 2 turnovers and miss a field goal - lose by 3.
For those that remember, Hutchinson was wide open for a touchdown to win the game and......yeah
Then we get into FG range after that drop pass and on 1st down Dekkers get targeted, NO CALL and he fumbles. Loser refs and game over.

OSU: We lose two fumbles and throw 3 fricking INTs, missed a field goal, dominate the game and lose by 6.

TT: lose by 4.
Completely Dominate the game statistically, have about 500 yards offense and score 10 points. Have the ball for 36 mins. - Miss two field Goals.

That was way to much work for me to say we finished last, but about 6 plays away from being a 10 win team.

which is why IMO KU is going to give us major fits Saturday. They are like a carbon copy of our 2022 team except completely flipped. They have a really good offense and defense is meh. We had a really, really good defense and a terrible offense.

Tough season.

How is Dekkers doing this year, anyone know?

KU scares me more b/c of their mobile QB whose beginning to throw it a lot better than he did earlier in the year.

KU may be 2-6 but if you take their record in one score games and reverse it, they're are something like 6-2. They've had multiple 4th quarter leads that they've ultimately blown.

Tech was going to throw the ball around and our LBs didn't have to worry about the QB run threat where they will now.

KU almost resembles UCF with what Daniels/Neal can do, however they don't do it as well as UCF does.

Should we win? Yes probably.. but is KU not scary? I don't think that's the case.
