Can we get an interview with Kempt and Lanning about their experiences on the staff, their contributions to the team, and how it's different being a player? I have no idea what a "quality control" assistant does, but I'm sure the Fanatics would love to find out.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Organize scout cards and scripts for practice/walk-thru
- Goal line study expert
- Research and prepare scouting reports on opponents,including but not limited to depth chart, statistics, and analytics
- Game day duties, including but not limited to play chart, analyzing and recording tendencies, and data input
- Scout personnel for head coach
- Advise on recruiting needs
- Advise on how to upgrade at each position
- Advise on needed position changes
- Identify what is lacking in specific areas

- Game plan opponent breakdown & self-scout
- Playbook assembly and distribution
- Represent the interest and image of the head football coach, the organization and Vanderbilt University.
- Fully comply with NCAA, AFCA, and SEC ethics and procedures
- Any additional items as assigned by the recruiting coordinators, player personnel coordinators, director of football operations, assistant coaches or head football coach.
- Recruiting Responsibilities
- Oversee student employees with recruiting efforts
- Assist with the execution of unofficial and official recruiting visits
- Prepare recruiting event material the night before and morning of home games
- Tour recruits/visitors around campus as directed by the recruiting coordinator
- Be an expert on underclassmen (rising juniors &sophomores)
- Maintain junior board in staff room
- In conjunction with the recruiting coordinator,request underclassmen transcripts
- Prepare tape of underclassmen for position coaches to watch and evaluate
- Organize evaluation forms for all prospects watched by offensive staff
- Add, update and maintain underclassmen in recruiting software
- Monitor commitments and maintain information log
Knowing those two have the job it should be called Quality Control/Culture Enforcers

I think it makes it that much harder for Campbell to leave (not that he’s going to anytime soon), but having 2 guys he recently coached on staff has to be a factor, even just a little.
He’d take them with.
but you do bring up an interesting point. I’ve said before that I think it’s less likely he’d go to the NFL because he couldn’t bring his staff with.
