I bought a used PS5 recently that my wife and I are giving to my 7 year old daughter as a Christmas gift. Any recommendations on games for someone that age?

get her on rocket league early. most of the pros in that game are 15 and get paid well into the six figures to play it professionally. kid friendly also as long as you turn the text and voice chat off

Don't sleep on Astro's Playroom, the free game the comes with it. I really liked that one. Fall guys is free and fun to play. Ratchet and Clank is solid, and my kid loved Bugsnax.

My almost 6 year old loves Minecraft. As I am typing this though, I think it might be an Xbox/PC exclusive.

I would highly recommend the PlayStation equivalent of the Xbox game pass. Kids often lose interest pretty fast in games. And also grab on to games that you wouldn’t think they would. It’s kind of a crap shoot. Game pass gives you a full library of games to choose from so if they don’t like a game, you can just uninstall and pick a new one.

If you buy the PlayStation online you will get access to all sorts of games. Astros playroom is a lot of fun. My 7 year old likes a game called wreckfest, as well as ratchet and clank. Lego games are a hit as well.
