C'mon, Hassell is really not that bad. Yes, he's a hawk fan, but he's a professional guy with a lot of experience. I think that will be a good pairing.

Agreed. Hawk fan but funny. Made fun of Iowa state but went hard after Iowa. What an enormous drop down in talent that was when he was replaced with tiny face Sears on WHO.
The Emery/Siepker show was full on cringe. This morning Travis was talking about Giolitto going last night and said he pitched "Six point One" innings. Not "6 and a third". Sean and Caleb in the afternoon would be great IMO.
Hassell is a Hawk fan, but he was hated by the Iowa athletic department. He would occasionally make fun of them and someone in the AD office would get all upset.
Looks like we found the two Deace fanboys on this site, way to expose yourself guys.
From a pure college sports standpoint, Miller and Deace was the best local program KXNO has had.

Miller and Deace in the morning was great sports radio. They actually talked sports. And I say this as a guy who hates Deace's political b.s. and most of Miller's. If I remember correctly they left most of the politics out of it.
They were the original Saturday morning team and then Emery left. I figured something had happened between the two so pairing them 5 times a week at 3 hours a day instead 1 two hour weekend show is interesting.
That ended bc Emery started hosting Saturday Morning Live over on WHO, which is on at the same time.
I like him. His innocence cracks me up. I think he's perfect for his role now. But that's my opinion and I can see why others may not like it.
Murph and Andy are fine broadcasting the headline stories but Miller and Deace had an immensely deeper college sports knowledge.
He also had that great bit about Iowa’s announcers during the penn state game that I’ll need to try and find when I get home
