Large Iowa State framed print/canvas question

Seeing the Collectible swap thread inspired me to make this thread.

Anyway, I am looking for sports themed wall decor for my newly finished man cave. I have seen the framed print of Hilton that is about 1.5'x3' at Scheels that I really like. Unfortunately I just cannot justify the $250 price tag. I have been thinking about trying to make my own by using the large printer at the UPS Store.

So to my question. Looking through random pictures of Hilton and Jack Trice on google images, how large of resolution would I need so that the print isn't pixelated when blown up to that size. Is there a website that hosts really high resolution Iowa State photos?

Can't speak to resolution or printing. But you could use one of the many posters that the AD has handed out over the years. A nice enough one, matted and framed well, would look nice I'd think.

If you're referring to the official basketball/football posters with the schedule, I already have those. Thanks for the tip.
