Listened to it live. Very good interview and never called us Ohio St. by mistake. After the interview Rome said "it's great to talk about Iowa State Football" is just awesome. In the break before the interview he talked about it by saying we will be talking Iowa State bas-football. Very cool to becoming a school where we are not defined by just 1 sport.

Something to the effect of that he was making some drastic changes and he and several others had to change habits that they were used too.

Thanks. That was more or less what I figured. I'm glad Lazard and most of the others bought in. Not that I was ever worried about them transferring or anything. It just underscores how hard it is to rebuild a flailing program and what a great job CMC has done in a short amount of time.

Over the years, Jim Rome has become one of the best interviewers of athletes and coaches.

He and his staff definitely did his research on Allen and his background, not only this season but his history with Iowa State. He asked some great questions that would give a national audience unfamiliar with Lazard and the Cyclones a better picture of what he and the team are about. Hope the jungle karma comes through and we can take down the frogs.

Agreed. I get that people dislike Rome's persona, but he's the best interviewer out there today IMO.

Rome loves him some ISU. I for one think it's great he always has us on.

I think he likes to have ISU people on just so he can get under the skin of Kirk Ferentz. ;)

Okay, I know that is a bit of a reach, but I do know Ferentz does not like Rome

Romeo, Romeo! Wherefore art thou Romeo?
I’ll no longer be a Hawkeye.
‘Tis but thy name that is my enemy:
Thou art thyself, though not a HornFrog.
What’s a HornFrog? It is nor smart, or pretty, or worthy
Belonging to a man. O be some other name.
Thy pledge my allegiance to the righteous.
The Cyclone of my heart, ISU.

Great to see a young man represent his school and team in such a manner. One would not believe the feeling both recruits and their parents get when they hear a young man speak so eloquently about his school. Thank you for all you have contributed(so far).
