They did fine, but the bar was set pretty high with Stanz & Scotty C - two guys that understood basketball better than I did and I really enjoyed listening to them break things down. I hope they continue to improve; but will need to provide better insights and breakdowns for me to continue to listen.

They were also incorrect on some of the items they spoke about (they stated that the 2 games w/ KU were circled on their list, but we don't play at KU this year) and didn't necessarily agree some of their breakdowns of our players. I'm sure a pre-season pod with this many new faces is difficult so can't wait for them to break down a game next week.
Yeah Scott and Jared were top notch. This new podcast is off to a solid start but my expectations definitely weren't Jared and Scott level good off the bat

I'd never heard of either of these two guys before and was surprised when it popped up in my feed. But it was a very good podcast, considering it was their first one. Well done fellas!

Scotty C. was the best at explaining concepts on ESPN+ non-con games when he was on there.

These guys will be great. That was literally their first time doing it. It will only get better. We will also have former Cyclone walk-on Nate Scheuster on regularly this year as a contributor. Hard to find former hoops players that can help. Hoping Scottie will come back at some point when his kids are a little older. I have very high expectations for Dylan and Nigel. I love the basketball-only aspect of it as we have enough "everything" pods. Really leaning into the niche stuff as we've done with wrestling via Jackie and Ben.

Best part is Dylan and Nigel are Iowa State grads who have sooo much passion. That's what it's all about and I"m positive it will come through in their show especially once games start.

I thought they did a great job!

Cracks me up that the "hoiberg era" means when Hoiberg was coaching....and that the "first" hilton magic memory is OU in 2016. Kids these days.....

I didn’t even think about that, haha. When I heard his “Hoiberg era” comment, I thought he was one of us grizzled veteran fans.

Makes us feel old, doesn’t it! I remember going to the Johnny Orr basketball camp in 7th grade and Lafester Rhodes working with me!

For one glorious night he was unstoppable.

Hi, I enjoyed the first episode. It was a bit hard to find though. For some reason it didn't show up in my podcast feed (on Android using the RSS feed). Was an audio only version posted to the podcast feed?

I was running the music for that game, and was 2015 not 2016 right (the big comeback, not beating #1 OU) -
