Glad there was mention of Milton and Purdy because I didn't buy any of the coach speak on how good KU is. We'll play well and win 38-17.

I see it about the same. Texas Tech and ISU seem to be pretty comparable teams. KU won the turnover battle against Tech, 3 - 2.

Pooka is a damn good back for a freshman, but Tech held him to 81 yards. Seems like a nice over/under for the ISU defense to shoot for.

KU has not had much talent at the QB position going on about 10 years.

Tech drilled them 48-16, with KU getting a garbage touchdown late. But that was in Lubbock.

If ISU does not get big heads and comes to play, I see it around 34 - 17.

The FART podcast points out that either half or slightly more came from their 2 non-con games that they won.
This is true but they still are at the top of the league:

Overall turnover stats:
9 fumbles gained
13 int gained
total 22 turnovers gained

4 fumbles lost
3 int lost
total 7 turnovers lost

+15

Conference only stats:
6 fumbles gained
6 int gained
total 12 turnovers gained (2nd)
(WVU leads with 13 combined)

3 fumbles lost
3 int lost
total 6 turnovers lost (t4th w/ ISU)
(UT leads with 1 combined)

+6 (t1st w/ UT)
ISU in 4th at +4

I hope the team is taking this game more seriously than the fans. I see an improving Kansas. It’d be nice to go a week without having a major special teams blunder.

Prediction: down the stretch improving on this will be a deciding factor and difference in ISU needing to cancel the I.C. game.

I think it’ll be closer to half of that. 3.5 ypc.
28-17

TCU is averaged 5.0 YPC from their backs and they don't have DM. They also don't have Purdy, who very rarely gives up a sack, but is good at running. I'll be surprised if DM is held under 6 YPC. The KU defense is no where near as good as the TT defense.

TCU averages 4.4 ypc on the year. We average 3.6. Last year DM averaged 3.2 ypc against KU. As a team we averaged 2.5 ypc.

We have the talent to put up big numbers against a team like KU, but we’ll play it close to the vest and easy to defend. KU is better than Akron, and we only averaged 3.8 ypc against the Zips. DM averaged 4.7.

I do agree that weird things can and have happened to ISU teams on the road in the past. I expect a very heavy Cardinal & Gold turnout tomorrow and can't wait to hear if it shows through on the tv broadcast. Personally, I don't plan on having a voice on that return trip home after the game! ;)

The only ISU team in recent years to lose at Kansas had basically given up by that point. And Rhoads was a moron for leaving Richardson in late vs OU in a blowout loss...then Sam got hurt and unable to play vs KU. I'm still pissed they lost that game.

Valid point. It is also valid to say that the offense is different than what we saw against Akron - both in the run and pass game - with Purdy at the helm.
