You agreeing with the Ivan Chiriev comment. Not a big deal. Just don't think it's applicable to this situation and it wasn't funny to me. The rest of your comment is fine. I thought the buttons were for quickly voicing opinions. I didn't know I needed to explain choosing to dislike something. If you are not supposed to dislike things I guess I will stop. Not a big deal to me...
Some posters have a habit of going through a thread and disliking multiple posts without ever making any posts of their own. The dislike button is a useful quick reaction, but much better to explain what you dislike or disagree with. Who knows? You might change someone's outlook! :)

Unless of course we're talking about Pants. Feel free to hit the dislike button every time on his posts. ;)

If Leech is recovered from his injuries and maintained his athleticism he will be a major addition to next years team. I would like an official announcement seems to be trending in the right direction. Until then we can watch his highlights and picture him hitting 3's and dunking in Hilton. Plus his nickname is Queak which should be a crowd pleaser.

No, you aren't. You weren't asked to name your sources. You were simply asked to stop with the vague statements and be more clear about the information you were (supposedly) trying to share with us. Cyclad, on the other hand, stated very clearly what he was trying to share with us. We didn't have to guess what he meant.

Never understood the “name your sources” thing. A lot of times the source does not want to be named since the info is confidential. On these forums u get a rep from your sources over time being right or wrong.

It’ll be okay, friend. It’s just college sports.

I do not think any of us care if you name your sources as long as you are generally right. We understand if you do not want to name or “burn” your sources. As long as you are right, then we are going to listen in the end. Heck, CW never names his sources on anything, but we still listen to him given who he is and his position.

Despite this, @Cyclad even went out of his way to tell us that either a member of the coaching staff or Prohm himself was the source. That is how you do it — be direct about your information and/or being willing to identify your sources of you want to or think it would be important context. The sources help but are not necessary.

How not to do it — speaking vaguely or in a way that you know can be easily misinterpreted, either to give yourself wiggle room if you are wrong or to stir up arguments or worry. Just give it straight. We do not really need to know sources as long as your information is clear and in good faith, but they certainly can help out.

I have known Cyclad since we were both in 7th grade (55 years ago), I know of no one who surpasses his honesty, his integrity . . . and his Cycloneness. But, then, I have no one to vouch for me. Nevermind ;-)
I bet cyclad would. Also I trust him because he doesn't seem like a **** poster

I will never understand when people genuinely act this way.

The greatest “per source” info provider of them all, Adam Schefter, literally NEVER says who the source is.

Thanks Valley. Back at ya.
Never expected this twist, I was just trying to share something I know is true. Not sure my source would want their name mentioned.

I go through and like, dislike, agree and disagree with a lot of posts. I do not often reply when I am in agreement either. If this is a problem, the owners of the site should not offer the buttons as an option. I don't need you telling me what is a better option. Thank you.
