Keep in mind when new ratings come out he won’t be where he is now..

His injury was severe. If he still has similar quickness and mobility after healing then we got a steal.. big if..

I assume we will work him out heavily on a visit before taking

Well if all his injuries are just broken bones just get the kid some milk and we're all good, those aren't injuries that should slow him down!

I’ve seen a broken hand and a stress fracture... that’s not severe. Is there something we don’t know about?

Article from December 2017:

Earlier this summer, Kentucky started to express interest in Leech, but the talks with the Wildcats have since cooled down due to an injury. He expects to be back by the summer, so he’s anticipating more schools will draw interest when he returns.

Though he’s hurt, Leech said Iowa State and Texas Tech have remained in touch with him and making sure he knows they’re still interested.

How long ago was the injury? I'm guessing he'll have plenty of time to heal before getting here; worst case he redshirts as a freshman

Beyerball seems to talk our of his butt quite a bit.

Yea how so?

Word on other forums was it was compound fracture..like bone thru skin type. Not saying that is 100% but also saying had metal rod inserted..

If this was simple stress fracture and kid is like 18 months from walking into a campus then every other big school wouod not have backed off and they have. As of now anyway.

So on Rivals he went from a 5-star to an unranked 3-star just because he got hurt? That seems a bit harsh from Rivals and all the recruiting sites.

Yea he will get re ranked on every service.. pretty sure this wasn’t some minor injury. He also missed soph year at times with injuries as well

All I could find was from last summer:
He held a Missouri offer for two years under the previous staff and has an incredibly high ceiling. Injuries have largely limited him so far, as he started last basketball season with a stress fracture and has been dealing with another injury this summer.

The article starts off with some Missouri (Mizzou) information.
Then posts this:
There have been multiple players from Missouri who are now NBA players including Jayson Tatum, OG Anunoby, and Pat McCaw.

That makes it sound like those guys went to Mizzou, when in fact they were only from the State.

I’m glad you pointed this out. Here is an article from March 2017:

https://www.prephoops.com/2017/03/changing-culture-mizzou-starts-sealing-border/

2019 G Marcedus Leech, Poplar Bluff
An ankle injury derailed his sophomore season, but Leech is one of the nation’s best in his class. He’s a long and lanky 6-foot-5 wing that can score from anywhere. His frame needs to develop, but his ability to score in a variety of ways is rare. Mizzou has joined Kansas, Miami, Wichita State and Iowa State as some of the many to already offer Leech. ESPN lists him as a 5-star prospect and has him ranked as the No. 21 player in 2019. This is the kind of kid Mizzou has struggled to get historically.

Getting a little bit more information but nothing concrete.

Just a lot of moving parts here. I do think Iowa State will take the kid if everything falls into place. So basically, stay tuned. I don't anticipate anything being finalized in the next few days though. Patience, grasshoppers.

So basically we'll know when you go on vacation

I don't get the injury concerns seems like these are injuries that heal over time
