I have to hand it to this new staff, and to Danny Mac. This might assuage a lot of long-time bitterness among a lot of people. Class acts all around!

I hope this staff can win during the season as much as they win in the offseason.

A tremendous start for the new staff. No doubt about it. They'll win with class

I kind of hope my scheduled races get rained out the 8th and 9th so I can head up and say Hi.

I wonder what JP thinks about it.

No doubt JP will love it. Firing Dan was really hard for him, he loved him as a person and believes in him as a football person, but felt that the downward trend in results would not have allowed him to climb back out because of inability at that point to recruit.

Great gesture. Mac has done some much for ISU football even though it didn't end the way anyone wanted, that's pretty small in comparison to his other accomplishments.

This is what I love about this too. Embrace Dan for what Dan did for our program. He's been gone too long!

Agreed....JP made that move and it really wasn't about emotion, it was about the trend/trajectory...heck, JP just let his own guy go and they put out a "thank you" video for CPR.

Great idea. It makes me sad that it only takes 56 wins to hold the career record at ISU, but otherwise it's a good way to connect with certain "stuck in the past" fans.

Only problem is this will increase the vocality of the crazies that think we should hire LE back if/when Prohm leaves.

Does any fan base want to go "back" more than ISU???
