Can we afford to fire him without promoting BP from grad assistant to head coach (that is with Petey getting no raise)

In all seriousness and totally not trying to mess with you. What talent?

I'm on the fence if I want him back or not. Though it doesn't matter since since there is no way he gets fired after this year. Thanks a lot extention that he didn't deserve.

I'm not ready to fire the guy but if we go 5-11 in league play like I suspect we will, it's time to move on.

Colvin.
Ejim has good promise.
The young big man whose name I forget now.

I look, and the pieces are continually getting better.

I know that the folks who are being negative (and I'm not pointing at you) will disagree and deny it, but that's all they do. The complaining feed on itself.

There are a lot of positives going on, whether we want to see them or not.

Chris Colvin may not even be here after this year.
Ejim hasn't played a game out of HS yet.
You don't even know the name of the last guy? Shows how much talent he's got.

C'mon man.

I want him back, but I want a point guard that is capable of playing in the top half of the Big 12. I don't care who it is (transfer, juco, or jr in high school) we need a point guard. Hopefully Buckley and Colvin improve prior to next season.

I think he needs to be gone if we don't make the tourny or some how gets a great recurit in here to take the roll that we need filled with brackins and Gilstrap gone next year will would be the only reason to give him any more chances. At this point we won't be losing any big time kids if coach mac was fired.

Elgin Cook and DeMarcus Phillips will both be good for us. The problem is we have good players RIGHT NOW and we aren't winning. That's the scary part. We have 2 legitimate NBA caliber players, a 3 year starter at PG and a good post at 6'11" and we can't win games. That HAS to be coaching. There is no other explanation.

Yes, those guys are nice players, the problem is that everyone around is us getting GREAT players, year in and year out.

Who do we lose this year? At this point Brackins is going nowhere and Gilstrap likely has a very good chance of getting another year. Why would you want to blow this team up? If he can keep this team together for another year they have the opportunity to be better next year. If you get rid of him, you will likely see even more defections and we start over again.

Everyone on this board complains about people not keeping their commitments but yet you want to drop a coach with years left on his contract.

I questioned coaching until tonight! I watched tonights game twice - DG and Brackins did not show up. These two have to get it together!! Its time to call em out!! Its not coaching - you don't coach an NBA player - you babbysit him!!!

Sorry, but I don't believe we even have 2 NBA players right now. Brackins has a lot of work just to even be drafted. And I'm not just being negative. He is in a major slump this year plain and simple. How does a team with preseason player of the year and preseason newcomer of the year look this bad?

How much longer do you give it when small programs like UNI,Drake and Craighton keep putting together teams but we can get over a hump there where our talent doesn't proform or worse and leaves.
