Interesting that in all the interviews they've done, they keep going back to comparing against teams they played this year. I am getting really stoked for this game because I think they've made a fatal error and SEVERELY misjudged Hoiberg's guys.

Comparing us to DePaul? Pitt? Marquette? One team not in the tourney, one lost today in an upset and one barely hung on...if that's the level you see us at, more power to you, Notre Dame.

19 hours to go...guess I'll go try to sleep.

Like Marquette? They are one of the worst three point shooting teams in the nation. Maybe he was referring to their resiliency. Marquette is a mentally tough team.

We're doing comparisons too- we compared them to KSU. Comparisons seem to be randomly thrown out there. Doesn't mean ND is going to come out expecting a Depaul or Pitt or Marquette. You can bet your money that they'll be ready ISU, and not for Depaul or Pitt or Marquette

Great comparison coach.. Marquette is a terrible 3 point shooting team and Pitt has one of the most anemic offenses I have seen. Lets hope he is preparing for Marquette or Pitt.

I find the Marquette comparison interesting considering that so many of their players were heavily recruited by CFH.

Notre Dame won on free throws, if you look at the play-by-play on ESPN of the game
[h=2]Marquette was ahead 17 to 4 at the 10 minute mark.[/h]Notre Dame was ahead at half 29 to 25.
Most of the points scored were by free throws, and a few lay ups.
Watching the game replay Marquette drove the lane forced the ball inside, almost all shots inside the arc.
Maybe Notre Dame defense "forced them inside the arc", that is what they said they are going to do to us,
play us "outside in".
Keep us off the 3 point arc?
News flash we can drive inside! Going to be an interesting game.

I like the DePaul comparison the best. I hope they spent their entire film sessions just watching DePaul tape.

Marquette was the worst 3 point team in the conference, and doesn't Pitt have good Defense and bad Offense?

Would be nice to beat them by 40 like Syracuse and VCU did to their opponents.
