Seriously, what am I missing? The first rankings leaned hard on NET. Iowa is currently 41 in NET. Clearly there are other factors at play, but 41 in NET would be an 11 seed in theory. Do the bracketologists not follow the metrics or do they think they have the committee figured out that they are projecting Iowa as an 8? I don't count Palm because he is horrible at this and will magically turn off the stupid and get his last bracket to reflect reality so he can salvage what little bit of credibility he has left.

It's simply impossible. Since Iowa and Iowa State played once in the regular season, the earliest they can meet in the NCAA tournament is the round of 32.

Why are you still arguing about this?

There is no way in **** Iowa State falls from a projected 6 or 7 seed to the Play In Game in the next 13 days, and I would give Iowa a 1% chance of being in that game even if they lose out.

Losing to Nebraska and Wisconsin and possibly Penn State or Illinois isnt going to drop them down to those levels of teams like St. Johns and Alabama.

The play in games are BEFORE the first round. If two teams can't play each other in the first round because they met once in the regular season, then they can't meet BEFORE the first round either.
