DM Reg and ESPN both had him for two. I only remember the travel while trying to split the double team. Can anyone remind me where his second one came from? Sorry if it's been discussed elsewhere, I don't feel like digging for it.

Does the Technical also result in a turnover? I've been thinking about this too and that's the only thing I can come up with...

Yes. The technical foul is also a turnover because it gives the opponent an extra possession (the free throws).

The good news is that means he will only have 1 (or 0) turn overs against KSU! (because of the stat that Monte has never had back to back games with multiple turnovers).

That stat was broken last night. Had 2 against Baylor.

Thanks Shadow - and that makes total sense, especially when you think most T's result in the two free throws and then the ball...

Makes sense. So technically he only had one during game action since that T he was called for was a joke.

I don't know if you can say it was a joke. He clearly slammed the ball down in anger. The ball went higher than the top of the backboard. You can't do that at any level.

Not in this case. The Technical shots were given before the foul shots, and then the ball became life. Monte's technical did not result in a change of possession (because the foul shots were going to happen anyway). That wasn't his turnover.

So in terms of actual basketball it was a 10:1 game with the 1 being a dragged pivot foot and not a pass that went the other way for a score or something.

Safe to say he's going to break his own Assist/TO record, perhaps significantly. If @WVU didn't result in a horrible ratio I'm not sure how it'll come.

I thought the record he set last year was only for freshmen, but I could be mistaken. If true, I would expect the normal record to be much higher

Lol it's the overall record since they have been keeping the stat. I don't think you understand the difficulty of have an A/T ratio that high. Having it around 6 is a borderline video game number.

Guys. The technical was not a turnover. Kansas didn't even get possession afterwards. Pretty sure he had a 2nd one on a bad pass but I can't remember when.
