I loved those helmet cars as a kid, but what I really miss were the ISU hot air balloons.

I loved those helmet cars as a kid, but what I really miss were the ISU hot air balloons.

I remember them launching a hot air balloon during a particularly chilly and gusty late afternoon game. I think they quickly realized it wasn't a very good idea after the balloon caught the wind and almost hit the upper deck of the stadium. It couldn't have cleared by more than a few feet. I don't seem to remember many more balloon launches after that.
