to me has been that we have not only topped 2 elite teams at home and won a couple on the road, but that we've been able to knock off the elite teams on one day rest like we will need to do in March.

With seemingly everybody voicing concerns about our depth, I think the fact remains that while we will have guys logging a lot of minutes they have proven capable of doing so on short rest against great competition. Our versatility and offensive ability makes us a really tough matchup on quick turnaround for anybody, and if we can defend and grind out some of these wins when our offense isn't "on" it should bode well for tourney time. Nice to have the opportunity to build confidence in those situations in January!

We do little things that help with "depth issues"

For example, every few possessions we slow it down and use the full shot clock to catch our breath.

I recall a couple short weeks ago, predictions of a 1-5 record or worse.....looking back, it sure seemed like the Cyclones were headed for some bad times.

Today? Four consecutive wins, including 2 road contests and 2 Big Monday games against top 5 teams, a bushelful of national exposure, the Hilton culture growing daily, and now we are all smiling.

I think Prohm deserves a ton of credit for this. We gave up 94 points 2 weeks in a row trying to run and gun. Now it seems like we are running our offense to completion and using clock instead of throwing up quick shots.

I think its been the key to our current play. Our defense has improved since then and the most we have given up is 77 to the #1 team. They seem alot fresher towards the end of games now. I think this is all attributed to simply slowing down the offense.

If we average 78 instead of 84 but are winning these games its fine with me.
