No kidding.
Penn State - @ Charlotte
Indiana - Eastern Washington
Purdue - North Florida, @ Vandy
Nebraska - Incarnate Word, maybe @Rhode Island and Creighton too
Northwestern - Central Michigan, maybe Georgia Tech
Rutgers - Saint Peters (by 18 points), St. Francis
Michigan - NJIT, Eastern Michigan, SMU

I added a couple. I might not typically call that SMU game a bad loss if U-M hadn't (1) losing at home, scoring 3 points in final 8 minutes; (2) already lost examples A and B, also at home.

CMU may not count as bad for NW ... relatively speaking for NW.

Thanks for the update. That Rutgers game must have gone final as I was typing it up because I didn't see it when I looked up their schedule. Rutgers may be the worst team in a power 5 conference this season. Lost to St Peter's by 18 at home, lost to St Francis by 5 at home, lost to George Washington by 17 at home, lost @ Seton Hall by 27 points, and only managed to score 26 against Virginia

It was just going final when I posted; I happened to check Big Ten scores to see if I hadn't mis-read the U-M score from earlier.
Rutgers is abysmal, I agree. RU did win at Clemson, which somehow Arkansas couldn't do.

Let's work to get a 1 seed so we can ensure not being in Kentucky's bracket. Wow.

That would be preferable, but Kentucky has an inside track to "neutral court home advantage."

Unless UK somehow slipped into the Houston or New York region as a 1 seed, they can play 5 hours from home or less for all 6 rounds: Louisville, Cleveland, Indianapolis.

Well, if we get a 1 we wouldn't see them till Indy. Of course it's wishful thinking, but possible.

Tell me in Feb/March.

Nice to have ISU ranked and all, but there's a whole lot that can happen in 3 months.

Wrong attitude to have my friend. I used to think this way, however, the higher we get ranked will give us a "cushion" in the rankings in case we lose a few early in the conference. Staying ranked the entire season guarantees us loads of coverage. More exposure is always a great thing for our program.
