A friend and I are flying to Dallas to attend our first game in the new stadium. Actually I never went to a game in the old stadium. Anyway, anyone have ideas on what to do on game day? The stadium doesn't open until 1. So do we purchase tailgating food and tailgate on our own? Do we walk around and look for tailgates?

There is a baseball museum at the Ballpark about 1/2 mile away. You might want to check that out. I haven't been to the new stafium, just the old one. It is huge!

I've got season tickets to the Cowboys..you'll have a great time! Right across the street from the stadium is a Walmart and a McDonalds, just in case you forgot something. I know the direction is not exactly correct but if you walk North of the Walmart there is a Buffalo Wild Wings approximately 4 blocks from the stadium. The prices are very reasonable. Enjoy!!

it may not be worth the price to park in tailgate lots for the short time you get to tailgate. there are numerous places along collins street that are hoppin before the game and then everyone just walks to the stadium. i recommend Sherlocks Pub....they let you leave your car parked there if you put a tab of $40 or more in your window. and then its only about a 10 minute walk.

the baseball museum was supposed to be closing at the end of 2009 because tom hicks is poor and feels the need to close amazing museums i guess. double check on that, especially now with the sale of the team and all.
