Yes. These things are rarely as good as the original, however.

I think this may actually be the perfect crowd funded project just on the basis that its not requiring anything other than some B movies and solid dialogue.

Didn't one of the original puppet voice actors pass away?

I guess the big question is, are you a Joel guy or a Mike guy?

I lean more towards Mike, but only because he was the guy when I started watching.

I'm a Joel guy. It was his baby. He created it. It was his imagination that came up with it. But, I think the most popular one (Manos: Hands of Fate) was done by Mike, if I'm not mistaken.

I grew up on this show. If each box set wasn't like, 80 dollars, I'd own them all.

Shows like MST3K and MXC are some of my absolute favorites. Oddly enough both are crazy expensive to buy the box sets of. My favorite episode is most definitely Zombie Nightmare. It might have even been one of the first ones I saw but that one was Mike.

If I'm not mistaken, I think its Joel that is in charge of the kickstarter.

I'm sure most MST3K fans already know but a lot of the episodes are available to stream on Amazon Prime.

I like Mike, because he's who I first saw.

But I probably should like Joel. Being *the guy* and all :twitcy:

This was the very first thing I ever saw of MST3K waaaay back when I lived in California. I remember thinking, "hey, that's Iowa State! What the **** IS this show?" all the while laughing at how funny it was. So classic! I hear it's still not particularly popular within the walls of the College of Family and Consumer Sciences (get a sense of humor - it's freaking hilarious!).

"Iowa State College - the high school AFTER high school."

I like MST3K, but seriously, how much could it really cost to kick it back into production? It isn't like it was a complex show to produce.

They looking at a goal of 2M to get the project rolling with something like 5.5M for a whole season. If it goes anything like the super troopers 2 kickstarter, I suspect they'll get at least the 2M. When I put my 10 bucks in it was at like 1.1M.

We would watch these and then finish off the liqour in my buddies spinner back in college. The Warewolf one was my favorite.
