I went to the Fred Hoiberg fantasy camp that occurred right after Prohm was hired.

I have a basketball with all the signatures of the players there that summer (except Monte Morris who had an ill family member). There is one signature I can’t figure out, and I want to see if I can get a little help here

Notes:
- There was no #40 that year
- Maybe an Iowan planned to wear 40 in honor of Street but changed his mind?
- People I know it’s not because I can identify their signatures elsewhere on the ball: Prohm, Hoiberg, Nader, Niang, McKay, Burton, Thomas, Mitrou-Long, Weiler-Babb, Ashton, Cook, Noskowiak

Maybe someone on the gym staff wanted to meet you at 8PM in room #40 of the Hilton Garden Inn near the practice facility

I don't see a #40 from that season on scholarship.

Wes Greder (a walk-on) was #4 but no sign of a #40.

Wes Greder would be my best guess based off nothing more than he was an incoming freshman that summer and is from Iowa so its possible at that point he thought he would be #40 (he's listed at #4 on the roster).

Did this have anything to do with Chris Street? ISU players use to wear 40 in respect for him a little while after the accident.

Do those camps have guests that help out some times like kids from other schools or top prep kids from the area?

No. It was Hoiberg, Prohm, the assistants, and the players on the roster at that time. Earnst or Nezlek are the most likely from my recollection of the looks of the player there, but I can’t see how that signature resembles either name.
