Nate Stanley's experience in big road games

It's one thing to play in front of 75,000 friendly fans. It's another to play in front of 61,500 hostile Cyclone fans. Can ISU rattle Stanley enough? If he was a 5th year senior with plenty of experience of taking out B1G road crowds out of games, fine. But this is an opportunity to fluster this young sophomore into plenty of mistakes. Some he already made at home vs. Wyoming. But I'm sure Ferentz will give him easy handoffs to start the game, etc. But there will be a time when he'll have to perform. And I mean Perform in front of thousands of Cyclone fans. I see Park having an easier time. Hopefully, this will translate into an Iowa State victory. ;)

If Jacob Park wants to be remembered for years to come, he needs to win this game and then a bunch more games. Consistency and conference wins really jump start the program in the Campbell era.

FIFY because I remember Steele Jantz for a fun game vs. Iowa, and an otherwise marginal career with a REALLY good game vs. Baylor in 2012.

Your original statement only plays to the 'Super Bowl' stigma and Iowa fans won't shut up unless they notice something else.

Really?? That is all it takes to be remembered for years to come?? A single win over Iowa...wow great expectations. How about winning a bowl game for the first time in 8 years, or even getting to a bowl game in the last 5.

Good point on Jantz. But I'd say that Bret Meyer had a solid career even though the end of it the team wasn't too successful. I'm not going to forget 23-3 anytime soon, especially after all the s*** talking I heard from Hawk fans before that game.

This would be just a start. I have high hopes for this program too, that's why a win this weekend can get us recognized much more throughout the nation. I obviously know it'll just be a fart in the wind if he beats Iowa and is subpar in the rest of his games like Jantz.

When I clicked on your recent activity link tab in your profile you literally have only been on the Hawkeye threads. If you didn't post on the Hawkeye related threads, nobody on here would know who you are because you wouldn't post anything. You are obsessed with the Hawks which that makes me think you may actually like them.

Well, then you really do give a legit reason for Iowa fans use the SB term--you likely still remind them of a win over a marginal and overrated Iowa team while ISU went on to sputter through a marginal season of their own and choked hard at the end for the 2nd year in a row.

He doesn't talk about anything else on here other than the Hawkeyes, therefore I question if he has any knowledge when it comes to any other Iowa State/sports topics.
