Bubu will be a Senior...I bet he gets the call at the start of the year...Naz may overtake him though

I'm a Bubu fan, but he's not starting unless he's an off guard in a 3 guard lineup. And we missed on our FR this next year.

Awesome video, thanks for posting. I can't wait till Naz gets a year in the system, hidden gem for sure.
Did anyone else expect Megatron to bust in halfway through the video? lol

I haven't seen anything to suggest that Long will even play next year except mop up minutes so I fully expect Bubu to be the starter in his senior year. If we sign a highly rated PG for the 2013 class then I might change my mind at that point.

But in theory, these guys were granted a D1 schollarship from the jump while Bubu walked on. So using that logic, the upside on these players is higher than Bubu which might play a roll in who starts. Also, Naz is a 6'4" PG while Bubu is what, 5'11"? If the skills are similar, who would you start? Just sayin.

I would start whoever is more effective. At this point, I'm assuming 2013 starting PG duties are 50/50 between Naz and Bubu. Based on what I saw from Bubu at times this year (the improvements he made from his RS frosh year) - that doesn't concern me.

Just because someone was granted a scholarship from the start does not mean their upside is bigger. If their skills are equal I would start Bubu regardless of size because he would be a senior with a lot more playing time and more D1 experience. Now if Long turns out to be better than Bubu fine start him, but until I see evidence of that I am assuming Bubu is starting as a Senior.

Naz was under the radar because his junior year he was playing behind Myck Kabango at Findlay Prep. He then transferred to St Martin in Ontario and by the time most teams had a chance to watch him he was signed with us. I think he could be a steal for sure.

Honestly I don't think we need a PG for the 2013 class. We need SG's SF's and C's. We will have Bubu and Naz and Aaron Law as a third backup for the 2013-2014 season. Then for the 2014-15 season Naz will be the man and we can add a PG for the 2014 class to be his back up and then again Aaron law as the third backup.

I think you take a shot at a high level PG every year. If you have multiple proven commodities at the position - sure, you could skip it once every four years or so. The position is just too valuable. A miss here, then a transfer there - and you're up **** creek. The difference between having one, and having none is big. We were SO lucky that Royce could handle, and distribute this year.

In my ideal world, I have two highly capable combo guards - a la Stinson and Blalock. One could go down or sit for a rest, and you almost don't miss a beat. I've seen Morris (who seems to be our #1 PG target for '13) described as a combo be several people.

Oh yeah, I love Gibson but he will need some help in 2013. Another big and PF are key imo. I have no doubt Fred will always get quality wing men since he knows that game better then most anyone in college basketball.
