No Spring Game...

I'd rather them say they don't want to do it rather than blame it on potential weather.
Might as well just come out and say "I don't like having one of these" at this point.
This could also have something to do with work that may need to be done to the field.
With the state of the field from the last few games of the season, this doesn't' surprise me.
Same. I've been to all but I couple in the last 10 years and recall mostly great weather (minus last year and a year or two of decent wind). Of course there is potential for weather, but for sure trying to use it as something to point to as a reason than to tell the thousands that have showed up in the past that they don't like doing it.
Then change the turf...Just go to an artificial grass and be done with it..
That’s too bad. It’s the only spring event I wouldn’t feel out of place since I don’t have kids.
To hell with tradition then. And a big 'who cares' to the Alumni?
While I agree that spring games are muted and a 15th closed practice is ultimately better for the team, there is probably an argument for the impact to fan interaction by not having one. I doubt it would be significant as only the diehards among us were the ones that attended; however, last year's press release when it was cancelled did touch on this.

So fire Matt Campbell? I imagine there is more to this than "we just don't want to do it" so people need to freakin relax.
But they probably do. They don't like the grass.
Which they should also come out and say.
I equate the spring game to preseason football. I always think I'm going to care and I'm always wrong.
