Defensive rebounding, finishing layups and lazy passes leading to easy points cost us this one. That was a pretty bad game from us

Game summary: Sloppiness. Bad defense (I.e. foul crazy). Lack of rebounds. Not sharing the ball. Poor shot selection. Pure panic in the end.

Open uncontested layups have destroyed us this game. I count four that I can remember us pissing away. That’s what makes this hurt so much.
It sucks, but I can live with it. To me what really killed ISU that they had 100% control over were the bad shots for the entire first half. Good, patient offense and we’re up up right now.
Illinois’ length bothered ISUs shots. But they absolutely needed to be patient, make Illinois work through multiple passes, but they just didn’t do it and that created that hole, little room for error in the second half.

I gotta say, that's the best offensive player we've faced this year. Pundits were right about him.

We probably shut him down more than most by forcing the 4 fouls on him, he gets 30+ if he plays heavy minutes.

Hopefully we continue to get better shooting and finishing like we did last year to this year.
ISU gave him open 3s on rotations and he drove hard. Not sure he's best they have seen
