Why not. Purdy's int to 'Hutch' looked weak and under-thrown. I doubt Campbell will pull Purdy in a B12 game this year.
Thank goodness we have the best coach, the best tight end, the best QB, the best running back (THAT part is true), the best O-Line, the best front 7 (THAT part is true).

You can throw to Scates all day. He won’t catch ****. Blame him or blame the QB, with him it’s the worst I’ve seen of Cyclone WRs. It just doesn’t work.
Only thing comparable I remember are the 30 yard fade patterns to Jarvis West.
There are very few things more important than winning the conference title. And Iowa isn't one of them. Sorry. Could/should this team be able to do both...absolutely. But we are talking either/or here. And I'm not going to slit my wrist tonight over this, or wish for the good ol days of Danny Mac beating Iowa.........then losing to UCONN and Boise State in the same year.
It'll be a slow burn, 24-10 kind of win. Never threatened but still working oit the kinks or whatever for a nice team with 20 ******* starters back.
The guys who made us great lost the game for us today. They can blame themselves. The D doesn't deserve that offensive performance. They left it all out there....
Also not a good look for all those potential recruits we had visiting today.
Honestly, I hope we go into Vegas next week and have our offense snap it into shape and assert our will on them. We need to just dominate a bad team to get things going.
I wouldn't be concerned if this was just a bad game, but this is a well established trend at this point. CMC teams have been bad the first month of the season every season. We should be over that by now. We have 20 returning starters on what on paper may be the best team in school history and we have looked like ass on our home field two weeks in a row. That is not acceptable.

Or it could be a 52-24 type of drubbing (after leading 24-10 at half). Campbell teams put together about 1 of those each season vs. inferior opponents.
